My daughter Jaylene told us to bring our swimsuits to Edmonton. Jaylene and her fiance Kyle, wanted to take us to the Water Park at West Edmonton Mall. When Duane reminded me to pack my suit...I just groaned inside. I had two days in Edmonton before the Water Park outing. I was planning my excuses and hoping maybe the plans would just change. Sunday morning everyone was packing up their beach towels and suits. My daughter asked if I was going to go with them or shop at the Mall...I took a deep breath and said " I am coming with you". The thought of wearing my bathing suit in front of thousands was enough to give me an upset stomach...which it did! But I didn't want to miss out on this opportunity to have fun with the kids and my husband. It was so worth it. I had a blast! And it is true, people aren't looking at you as much as you think they are. And if they did, I didn't care...I was having fun making memories.

Spend your time making memories....not making excuses.

Mom - I am so glad you conquered your fear and made it into the waterpark. Next time you will have to conquer another fear and go down th Sky Screamer slide!!!!
You looked great in your swimsuit and I am sure there were a few people staring for all the right reasons ;)
