Weigh in Day..."my reality"

I am married to a very sweet man! It was my birthday yesterday and my husband wanted to do something to celebrate. We decided to go gambling in Bonners Ferry, Idaho and out for dinner. We arrived in Bonners around 5:00 so we decided to go to one of my favorite shops "Under the Sun". I spotted this gorgeous purse in the store and then put it back on the shelf when I saw the price tag. My husband took notice and he picked up the purse and said "just try it on", I laughed and swung it over my shoulder. He said "it looks really good on you". "Ya" I said but I don't need to spend that kind of money on a purse! Anyway we put the purse back on the shelf again and continued to shop. I was just heading out the door when he said I just want to check something out, so I followed him and he went right to the purse, He said "I want to buy this". I instantly protested and grabbed his jacket trying to prevent him form going to the sales lady. The two girls working in the store must of thought I was nuts... but I really was trying to stop him. I thought he was CRAZY! They laughed and said I was a very lucky lady, they both loved the purse too. My husband leaned over and gave me a kiss and said he wanted to buy it for me because I deserved something special for all the things I do for other people. Wow, what a nice man. The girls at the shop probably thought we were a new couple or something and I thought after that I wish I said to them, "this is what it is like after 27 years of marriage when you marry the best man in the world"!

And yes, it is... just a purse (awesome one!)...

but this memory is not about a material purchase at all,

it is about love and kindness.

Oh ya...About my weight...I do need to get more serious about this journey as I only have 48 weeks to my black dress deadline! And the way it is going I will not reach my goals. So, I will work on making some changes in the up coming blogs and really, really try to stick to them. I have several ideas that come to mind but I am going to think carefully and try to choose changes that I can stick to. My blog has kept me honest. accountable and more on track than if I wasn't blogging...so thanks for following me. I wish I had stunning results for you but this is reality, at least "my" reality.

Total weight Loss or Gained...gained 2 pounds @ZZX#%*!! Time to take action! This is certainly not an easy journey for me but I am STILL glad that I am on it!

To my awesome husband of course and to my wonderful girlfriends who put on a fantastic Mexican dinner for me last Friday. We had lots of fun, laughs, yummy food and an awesome gift that was a total surprise...I love it!!! I am truly thankful for you all.
